Bharat Jodo Yatra has become pain for BJP, says Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel | Raipur News

RAIPUR: Bharat Jodo Yatra has become a pain for BJP leaders, which is why they are using the Covid excuse to try to stop it, Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Friday.
“Their pain for Bharat Jodo Yatra is spilling over now. To stop the yatra they are using several excuses, while the maximum Covid cases are reported from China. Instead of imposing restrictions on flights coming from China and quarantining those coming from that country, their (BJP’s) focus is on Bharat Jodo Yatra,” Baghel said, with reference to the letter from Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, asking him to ensure Covid protocol is adhered or suspend the yatra.
“It’s clear that it isn’t Corona that scares them (BJP) but Rahul Gandhi,” Baghel told reporters on Saturday. He has left for Delhi to attend an AICC meeting to discuss the upcoming plenary meeting to be held at Chhattisgarh and plan for the ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo Yatra’ across the country. Commenting on RSS organizing Christmas, Baghel said, “BJP is losing ground. Since there are elections scheduled in Karnataka, BJP and RSS will try different ploys to prevent their shrinkage in states. But their words and actions don’t match.”
