However, the growth in sales of electric vehicles (EV) is slowing down worldwide. But Tesla can probably count on most of its existing buyers to buy cars again. At least that’s what 87 percent of current Tesla owners in the US said in a survey conducted by Bloomberg Intelligence

Tesla enjoys huge public support in the markets where it has a presence. And while early adopters and wealthy buyers are now slowly making way for more cautious EV buyers. Many of the people who drive Teslas appear to be happy with their rides. Brand loyalty of 87 percent is impressive. Considering that Lexus finds itself in second place in the survey results. Where 68 percent of existing owners say that they will return to the Japanese brand. Toyota is in third place with 54 percent

The survey also found that 81 percent of potential Tesla owners are those who are coming from a rival EV brand. The survey involved 1,000 adult respondents who confirmed they planned to buy or lease a new car within a year. The report observed that 42 percent of the people surveyed were willing to buy a fully electric vehicle. Whereas 23 percent people were interested in buying a hybrid car.

Steve Mann, global lead director for auto and industrial market research at Bloomberg Intelligence and lead author of the report, said, “Affordable EV models from Tesla, GM and Stellantis, which are scheduled to debut by 2026, will attract more mass-market buyers. Despite this, the market still has a long way to go to mature. Lack of charging networks and extended charging waiting times top the list of concerns for all car buyers.”

Tesla’s EVs like the Model 3 and Model S are extremely popular in markets like the US and China. And repeatedly make it to the list of best-selling EVs in the world, as well as best-selling vehicles.
