Snowfall and rain on the mountains, mercury crosses 42 in 13 plain states, no relief expected in the next five days

Due to climate change, different forms of weather are being seen in different parts of the country. The mercury remains between 40 to 46 degrees Celsius in 13 states including eastern Uttar Pradesh and the Ganga coastal region of Bengal. At the same time, there is snowfall along with rain on the mountains. Heat wave is wreaking havoc in five states, while other states are also in the grip of extreme heat.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that the weather will remain like this for the next five days. At some places the maximum temperature may drop by 1-2 degrees. Among these, rain, storm and hailstorm are occurring in various areas of 14 states along with many states and union territories. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), heat wave is going on in the Ganga coastal areas of Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. Apart from these, the temperature at many places in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha region of Maharashtra is remaining between 42 to 46 degrees Celsius

Warning of excessive heat and humidity has been issued for Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Orange alert regarding heat wave continues in Odisha till Monday. Summer holidays have been declared in schools in the state from April 25. Talking about North-West India, the maximum temperature in Delhi is below 40 degrees Celsius

Heat in the plains, cold in the mountains

Even in April, snowfall did not stop in Himachal. The Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert for rain and snowfall in the state for April 22-23. There was snowfall in Rohtang Pass and Koksar on Sunday. Heavy rain and hailstorm occurred in Kullu, Chamba and Dharamshala. The maximum temperature is between 30-35 degrees Celsius in the plains of Punjab, Haryana and the hilly states of Himachal, Uttarakhand and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh.

Mercury will reach 44 degrees in eastern India

Senior scientist of IMD, Dr. Naresh Kumar said, the maximum temperature in eastern India can reach 44 degrees Celsius in the next four-five days. The temperature in Delhi will be around 38 degrees for the next two-three days. After this, there may be an increase of one or two degrees. There are chances of light rain in the national capital and surrounding areas on Monday In Bengal, the maximum temperature remains above normal by 6.5 degrees and the minimum temperature is also above normal, in view of this a red alert of severe heat wave has been issued.
