After an uproar by angry family members over hiding the delivery and missing the newborn in the nursing home of Fatehpur, the operator packed the body of the newborn in an ice box and sent it to the family. When the family members present in the mortuary created ruckus again, the police detained the two youths who brought the dead body.

CMO has sealed the nursing home for negligence. The search is on for the operator. Urmila (26), wife of Pitambar, resident of Patria Chak Abdullahpur of Sultanpur Ghosh police station area, was admitted to a nursing home in Nauwabag on April 15 due to labor pain.

He had an operation on 16 April. Seeing that the woman’s condition deteriorated after the operation, the doctor hid the matter of delivery and referred her to Kanpur. In Kanpur, the doctor informed the family about the woman’s delivery. The woman died during treatment on Thursday evening.

The family reached the nursing home with the dead body. Where there was a ruckus when the child was not found. The operator had fled after closing the nursing home. The pregnant woman’s husband complained to the police against the nursing home operator. The process of Panchnama of the dead body of the pregnant woman was going on in the mortuary of the district hospital on Friday. Meanwhile, two close relatives of the nursing home operator took the newborn in an ice box and reached the family. The family members were shocked to see the dead body of the child. Due to the uproar by the family members, the police caught both the youths.

During police interrogation, it was found that a young man was an employee of a nursing home. The second young man is unknown. As part of the conspiracy, both the youth were used to send the body of the newborn to the relatives. On the other hand, CMO Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed reached the nursing home. They have sealed the nursing home. The husband has filed a complaint regarding the death of his wife and child due to an operation by an untrained doctor in a nursing home. Kotwal Rajendra Singh said that the body has been sent for post-mortem. A case will be registered and investigation will be done.
