AneezBazmee tells why VidyaBalan and Akshay Kumar are not in BhoolBhulaiyaa 2

AneesBazmee, the director of BhoolBhulaiyaa 2, revealed why VidyaBalan and Akshay Kumar were not part of the film.

BhoolBhulaiyaa 2 features Tabu, Kiara Advani and KartikAaryan. It will release at the box office on May 20. The audience always wanted to know why VidyaBalan and Akshay Kumar did not feature in the film

So, AneesBazmee has finally revealed why the two stars are not in the film. Akshay and Vidya were in the first part of BhoolBhulaiyaa, which was released in 2007. It was a super hit movie and had good ratings by the viewers.

The filmmaker told the Free Press Journal that he heard a story with Murad Khetani a few years ago. They both decided to work on the script and call it BhoolBhulaiyaa 2. The story is not a remodel, and they did not make it to continue the legacy of BhoolBhulaiyaa. Both of them planned to call the character Manjulika instead of Rinku. However, the audience will witness some flashes from the old movie. But the second part is not in any way similar to its precursor. He added that it is a new film and not a remake.

The director further mentioned that Both Vidya and Akshay did a phenomenal job in the first part. He wished to cast them again, but the script demanded something else. Both of these stars are iconic and larger than life. He did not want to degrade them. He hopes that people will support his decision after watching the film.

For those not aware, we must tell you that BhoolBhulaiyaa 2 is the sequel to BhoolBhulaiyaa (2007). The latter was a classic cult released in 2007 by Priyadarshan. It featured VidyaBalan, Akshay Kumar, and Shiney Ahuja in the lead roles.

BhoolBhulaiyaa (2007) was a remake itself. It went along the plot of the 1993 Malayalam blockbuster Manichitrathazhu.

Shobana, Suresh Gopi, and Mohanlal gave their mesmerizing performance in this south Indian hit.
