With 3.5 to 4 lakh devotees visiting daily, the Ram Temple in Ayodhya experiences a surge in donations. The number of donation counters has been increased to 32 to accommodate the growing offerings.
The Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been witnessing an unprecedented influx of devotees, Ram Temple Sees Record Devotee Footfall; Donation Counters Increased from 6 to 32 with daily footfall reaching between 3.5 to 4 lakh. This surge in visitors has led to a significant increase in donations, prompting the temple authorities to expand the number of donation counters from 6 to 32 to efficiently manage the offerings.
In the initial days following the temple’s consecration on January 22, 2024, the temple received over ₹12.8 crore in donations within just 15 days, with an average daily footfall of 2 lakh devotees.
The highest single-day collection during this period was ₹3.17 crore.
Ram Temple Sees Record Devotee Footfall:
To accommodate the growing number of devotees and streamline the donation process, the temple management has increased the number of computerized donation counters to 32. Additionally, multiple donation boxes have been strategically placed within the temple premises, including four near the sanctum sanctorum, to facilitate offerings.
The temple has also received substantial contributions in the form of gold and silver. Over the past four years, offerings have totaled 940 kg of silver and 20 kg of gold, with the current financial year witnessing donations of 7.29 kg of gold and 170 kg of silver between April and October.
As the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami approaches, the temple trust anticipates an even higher influx of devotees, with expectations of around 50 lakh visitors during the celebrations. Preparations are underway to manage the crowd effectively and ensure a seamless experience for all pilgrims.
The overwhelming response from devotees underscores the deep spiritual significance of the Ram Temple and reflects the unwavering faith of millions who journey to Ayodhya to offer their prayers and contributions.
