The Nexon EV Max starts with a price of Rs17.74 lakh, while the standard model starts from Rs14.79 lakh. Although the dimensions of the vehicle are the same, the company has introduced some major changes to Nexon EV.

How exactly is the Max version different from the regular Nexon EV? Let us know more about the changes introduced in Nexon EV to make it Nexon EV Max.

Higher range, performance, and power

Tata Motors has upgraded the battery power of Nexon EV Max. A powerful battery of 40.2 kWh allows it to cope with an increased range of 437 kilometers. The regular Nexon EV had a range of only 312 km. The Nexon EV Max also claims to have increased torque and power of 250 Nm and 143 PS, respectively. This configuration helps it lower the timing of picking up 0 to 100 km/h to just 9 seconds.

Fast AC charging capability

With a bigger battery pack, the regular Nexon EV used to take longer to charge. Therefore, Tata Motors offered a faster AC charger of 7.2 kW. It would take only 6.5 hours, to fully charge the electric Special Utility Vehicle. However, its standard model comes with an AC charger of 3.3 kW. With this capacity, the Nexon EV takes 15 hours to get fully charged.

The multi-mode regenerative braking system

Initially, the company launched Nexon EV with a fixed regenerative braking system. But, this time, it has offered four modes of regenerative braking. Therefore, the driver can choose the amount of regenerative braking intervention according to the requirements.

Intensi Teal paint

The new Nexon EV Max comes in 3 colors – Daytona Grey, Pristine White, and Intensi Teal. The newest paint scheme on the list is the Intensi Teal. However, it is only available for the long-range models of the Nexon EV.

Lower ground clearance

Tata Motors managed to adjust the bigger battery pack without reducing the rear legroom and boot capacity. The company takes a hit on the ground clearance of the Nexon EV. The Nexon EV Max comes with a ground clearance of 190-15mm lesser than the iteration of the regular Nexon EV.
