Good news for any NEET 2022 candidates: they will get extra time in the Exam

 

According to the recent updates, aspirants will get an extra time of 20 minutes in their NEET UG 2022 exam. Now, the total time duration of writing a paper would be 3 hours 20 minutes.

The National Testing Agency conducts the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test every year. Thousands of medical students give this NEET exam to get admission to medical courses. The exam is difficult to crack due to countrywide competition.

Only a few candidates qualify for the examination on their first attempt. The NTA conducts the exams for both the NEET Undergraduate (UG) and NEET Postgraduate (PG). But, this year, it has made some changes. The NTA officials have extended the test duration by 20 minutes. The authorities took this decision to the demands of NEET aspirants.

Candidates appearing in NEET-UG 2022 examination will get 20 minutes of extra time. So, students will have 3 hours and 20 minutes to finish their entire paper. The previous year’s paper on NEET had 200 questions. The students had to attempt only 180 questions out of these 200.

Due to more number of questions, students demanded to increase the time of the paper. They wrote a letter to NTA that they need time to read the questions they do not want to attempt.

The examination of NEET-UG 2022, will be conducted on July 17. Aspirants who will qualify will get admission to medical courses. They will get the opportunity to study MBBSin the reputed medical institutes of India.

The students felt happy and relieved after the announcement. They will get more time to understand the questions and solve them correctly. The students will give the exam in pen and paper mode. There are 90,825 seats in MBBS; 52,720 in AYUSH; 27,948 in BDS in Indian medical institutions. Among them, 249 seats are in JIPMER and 1,899 in AIIMS.

NTA has made some other changes also in the UG exam. It has increased the exam registration fee for all categories. Last year the general category fee was Rs.1500, which is now increased to Rs.1600. The fee for General – EWS increased to Rs.1500. While the registration fee for SC, ST, BC, and OBC students will be Rs.800.

Also, the authorities have changed the number of examination centers. Plus, the National Medical Council has removed the upper age limit for the students to appear in the exam.

The agency has already released the notification for the NEET UG 2022 registration. You can apply online by visiting their website neet.nta.nic.in. The last date of registration is May 6, 2022. You can pay the application fee till May 7, 2022.
