Black or Green tea, which one is best to get rid of tiredness?

Tea is a rejuvenating beverage that revives you when you feel tired. All the types of tea have almost similar benefits.

Most of you enjoy drinking tea in the morning or after meals. Some of you even have a habit of waking up with a cup of tea. People are fond of it not just because of its health benefits but also due to its relaxing properties. In one way, tea helps you to stay focused.

When you’re anxious, confused, tired, or stressed, a cup of tea is the first thing that comes to your mind. It is a magical beverage that rejuvenates and revives you when you feel exhausted. But you may not be aware of the fact that black and green teas are parts of the same plant.

The scientific name of the plant is Camellia Sinensis. Both the teas come from the same plant, but they significantly differ from each other. However, according to a study, almost all types of teas have more or less the same benefits.

Reportedly, unlike black tea, green tea leaves do not undergo the process of oxidation and fermentation. Black is rich in epigallocatechin gallate, a powerful antioxidant with abundant catechin. It helps prevent cardiovascular disease, cancer, and other illnesses. Green tea contains one-fourth of the caffeine present in coffee which makes it healthier.

As green tea does not undergo the process of oxidation, the EGCG in it remains intact. It helps in promoting a diet-based weight loss regime. Green tea is good for evening meditation and midday breaks.  It removes the acidic waste from the body as it is less acidic. Organic and pure green tea helps you achieve bright skin tone, higher immunity, and faster metabolism. Along with detoxification properties, green tea has numerous advantages.

You may be surprised to know that one cup of warm green tea is more rejuvenating than a cold drink. It keeps you chill from inside on the hot summer days. Due to the presence of theanine in it, it acts as a soothing agent for your body. Theanine is a natural compound that gives soothing effects to the consumer.

The EGCG converts into Thearubigens and Theaflavins in the black tea, during fermentation. Therefore, green tea is better than black in terms of quantity and quality of catechins. However, black tea is also rich in antioxidants and serves as a healthy drink. It has L-Theanine and one-third of the caffeine present in coffee.

The combination of L-Theanine and caffeine keeps your mind alert. It also hydrates your body and enhances the blood flow towards your brain. Moreover, it kills harmful bacteria and strengthens your immune system.

Black tea improves the power of focus and concentration and works as an eye-opener for most people in the morning. The acidic content is high and hence, you need to add lemon juice for neutralizing it. In western countries, people usually prefer to drink black tea.
