With an anticipated surge in devotees for Mahakumbh 2025, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken proactive steps to ensure smooth crowd management and security. In a significant move, 51 senior officers have been assigned responsibilities to oversee operations and maintain order at the grand religious event.
The Mahakumbh 2025 is witnessing an unprecedented influx of devotees, prompting authorities to implement advanced crowd management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. The Uttar Pradesh government has deployed 51 senior officers to oversee operations and maintain order during the event. Additionally, 70 camps have been established in border districts to regulate the flow of pilgrims and provide necessary support.
To enhance crowd control, the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) has been connected to approximately 2,750 cameras, facilitating real-time monitoring and swift response to any emerging situations.
Despite these measures, challenges persist due to the sheer volume of attendees. Recent reports indicate that a stampede-like situation occurred, underscoring the difficulties in managing such a massive gathering.
